Background

A prominent coaching institute in Maharashtra was already using an established online assessment platform to conduct tests for its IIT-JEE and NEET batches. On the surface, things appeared functional — but beneath that, the institute was steadily losing confidence in a tool that wasn`t built around their needs.

The Challenges

Over time, several friction points became impossible to ignore:

  • Questions were frequently repeated across tests, undermining the integrity of assessments
  • The platform offered no way for the institute to upload or manage its own question bank
  • AI-driven features were entirely absent
  • After-sales support was slow and inconsistent
  • Active development had stalled post-handover, leaving the product frozen in place

The institute wasn`t just dealing with software limitations — they didn’t have control over their own test conduction process.

Finding Clasify

When we first connected with the institute, it was clear they weren`t looking for another vendor — they were looking for a partner who would listen and deliver. Their core requirement was straightforward: the ability to upload their own question papers, schedule tests on their own terms, and run assessments frequently enough to keep students in consistent practice. As any educator knows, repetition and practice are non-negotiable when preparing for exams at this level.

The Onboarding

We brought them on board for a one-month pilot. But rather than rushing toward a handover, we extended the trial beyond the initial commitment — without conditions — until they were genuinely satisfied. As an early customer, their feedback was more valuable to us than the timeline.
That period wasn`t without its challenges. Answer key verification turned out to be the most complex piece of the puzzle, and we encountered errors that had to be resolved in real time. We didn`t shy away from those moments. We used every instance of friction as a signal — taking feedback seriously, fixing issues quickly, and tightening our internal processes as we went.

What Truly Set Things Apart

One of the most meaningful outcomes wasn`t visible in a feature list. It was this: a person with no technical or operational background was able to independently manage the entire test creation and conduction process — on tight schedules, without hand-holding.
That happened because of how Clasify handles question extraction and formatting. The institute sent us content in every form imaginable:

  • Handwritten notes from a notebook
  • Textbook pages with questions circled or ticked
  • Blurry images
  • PDFs — some clean, some rough
  • Questions pulled from multiple sources, in different formats, for a single test

We processed all of it. No hesitation, no pushback. Tests were created to the best possible quality in every case — and requests that came in at odd hours were fulfilled without delay or complaint. That consistency, over time, became something the institute could rely on completely.

Supporting Offline NEET Tests Too

For their offline NEET batches, the requirement was different: a clean, print-ready PDF rather than an online test. Clasify delivered question papers formatted and ready to distribute — eliminating the need to manually type, compile, or reformat questions from multiple sources. The result was the same: less effort for the institute, more time for what actually matters.

Where This Is Going

This case study isn`t a success story about our product. It`s about solving real problems for real educators — and doing it with honesty, speed, and a genuine commitment to getting better.
